A RECOVERY HOUSE SETTING
Independence Lodge is a drug and alcohol free environment for the recovering adult male alcoholic & drug addict. We provide structure and support during the re-entry into mainstream society and responsible living, as well as guidance and the tools necessary to live a clean, sober & productive life.OUR RESIDENTS PARTICIPATE
At the Lodge our clients participate in a 12 step program and attend outside and in-house meetings. Each client is required to obtain a sponsor and a home group in order to develop a strong support network in the fellowship of their choice. Obtaining employment is also a requirement. We offer a job search program to assist our residents.WE ARE LOCATED
Our homes are found in the greater Levittown/Southern Bucks County area, in the center of a flourishing and welcoming recovery community. There is easy access to club houses, transportation, community centers, hospitals, and area malls. Numerous employment opportunities exist nearby. Also, the area supports hundreds of weekly AA, NA, & CA meetings.WE REQUIRE
Lodge residents complete assigned household chores and adhere to a nightly curfew. Attendance of mandatory house meetings is required and clients must submit to random urine tests upon request. Drug and/or alcohol consumption will not be tolerated and is grounds for immediate dismissal.WE HAVE FUN
Our clients attend area conventions, picnics, dances, fishing trips, participate in sports, and more. The houses are equipped with large flat screen televisions and gaming systems. A computer with Internet aids in employment search. All you will need is your clothing and personal items, the willingness to change, and the desire to live free of drugs and alcohol.WE ARE TOP RATE
The conditions and setting at Independence Lodge are first class. We believe that having a comfortable and serene environment is key to the individual’s transition from treatment to a new and unfamiliar setting. There is a live-in house manager and two assistants that supervise the daily operations of the house. Someone is available 24/7 to assist our clients.MEET THE FOUNDER

Bryan is not only the CEO of Independence Lodge Sober Living, he is also a person in long term recovery.
My Experience
The Lodge offers something unique to other programs in the area. Bryan Kennedy, owner and CEO of Independence Lodge, had begun his own journey in a recovery home after transitioning from a treatment center. From the beginning stages of intake to eventually taking on the role of Director of Operations, Bryan has full knowledge and experience of the entire process.
“The conditions of the house I went to were less than ideal. Still, I had burned all of my bridges and had nowhere else to go. The men from the house gathered around me and showed me a new way to live. They showed me that I could have fun in recovery and that I could turn my life around by following some suggestions and making some changes. I was immediately attracted to the freedom and happiness these guys seemed to have.”
“I wanted to give back the same hope that was given to me, so I eventually took on a position as the Intake Coordinator for the recovery house program. I would speak to men on the phone who were just like me, that would be transitioning from rehab to the recovery house and would do my best to help them through the fear and anxiety of change. Soon after, I began driving to the rehabs to sit with them in person. I felt they deserved a more personable experience from me. In time, I became the Executive Director of the program and ran it to the best of my ability.”

My Passion
“My passion in life is to help people that suffer from the same disease I do. We provide a first rate experience to each client here at Independence Lodge Sober Living. A former recovery house resident myself, I have shaped and built this program along the lines of what I would want my experience to be coming out of treatment. My aim is to plant the seed that was given to me which turned my life around, and to guide our residents in this process with respect and patience. Each individual will write his own story. He will receive personal attention from my staff and I to help get him underway on the path back to independent living.”
